LDK Solar announces investment in Silane gas Business

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. , multicrystalline Solar wafers, and the leading manufacturer of PV products announced today a $ 35 million investment to establish the new production lines to produce Silane gas plant the Mahong-CityJiangxi province, to provide the maximum of Xinyu to 2.000 MT in order to meet the growing demand of Silane gas, semiconductor, solar and flat panel display industry.  LDK Solar expects to begin the construction of this new factory in the third quarter of 2011 and 2012 to achieve mechanical completion of the first quarter.  Commercial production is planned to commence in 2012, the second quarter.

“We believe this new investments in Silane gas production is a great synergy manufacturing expertise to LDK Solar, LDK Solar polysilicon and improve their offerings for the product in the long term.  Is a growing demand in China, the Silane, but is not a domestic supplier. “
